City and monastery set an example for our planet. Klosterneuburg is once again participating in Earth Hour. On Saturday, the lights of the landmark and various monuments in the city will be switched off for one hour.

The 15th Earth Hour will send a global signal for climate and species protection on Saturday, March 27, 2021. This year, Klosterneuburg is one of over 7,000 cities participating in Earth Hour. The floodlights that illuminate at night Pen and the Collegiate Church illuminate, as well as those of four monuments – Franz Josef Monument at Roman Scholz Square, Fountain in Cardinal Piffl Park, Marian Column at City Hall Square, and Plague Column at Town Square – will be switched off.

Together with thestift, literally all efforts were made to be part of the world's largest climate protection campaign and to flip the switches between 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM.
