Parked in the courtyard in front of the Gugging Gallery today, August 20th, from 12 PM to 4 PM, you can marvel at Jens Mohr's enchanting green Arthopper bus and dive into the fabulous world of Art Brut art in conversation with the two artists, Jens Mohr and his long-time friend birdman Hans Langner.
Why the name Arthopper? Like a green grasshopper jumping from place to place, Jens Mohr, with his studio on wheels and overnight and cooking facilities, can flexibly travel from exhibition to exhibition and also present his art in public spaces on tour – so far in Hamburg, Bonn, Berlin, Stettin, and Klosterneuburg! The highlight is the animal on the roof, which, with its luminosity, is a real eye-catcher even at night. When you enter the bus, you can only marvel at the sheer amount of detail and creativity – you'll want to go on a trip with it yourself right away.
As warmly as you were welcomed by both artists, you could also be inspired by their artworks and the stories behind them in the current exhibition „curated by daniel spoerri“ at Galerie Gugging. For example, Birdman Hans Langner's passion for discovering birds everywhere and in all objects is extremely inspiring and, above all, contagious. Try it yourself, be creative, and look for motifs in your everyday life that you only notice on second glance.
