The new Poldi Card is now valid
In her hometown, together with Mayor Mag. Stefan Schmuckenschlager, Governor Mag. Johanna Mikl-Leitner officially launched the Klosterneuburg Poldi Card. The recycling center, after its renovation, truly honors the circular economy. The new access system decongests traffic and is intended to prevent future backups to the roundabout.
The Poldi Card, a Klosterneuburg specialty, now provides access to extended opening hours at the recycling center. This means green waste, tree cuttings, and branch trimmings can now additionally delivered outside of opening hours. Simply hold the Poldi Card to the terminal in front of the barrier. This means hectic crowds during peak hours are a thing of the past.
The recycling center presents itself to the public newly structured and modernized:
- The entire traffic situation will be improved by redesigning the access road and the waste fractions.
- The covered hall allows for comfortable disposal regardless of the weather conditions.
- A new garbage press helps protect our environment. The garbage is compressed, significantly reducing its volume, which in turn saves on truck trips and CO2 emissions.
- Video surveillance and an automatic access system serve general and personal security and allow for the extension of delivery times.
Access times with Poldi Card = in addition to the recycling center's opening hours:
Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Saturday, 2:30 PM to 9:00 PM
For now, the Poldi Card functions as an access pass, but it has much more potential. More services, benefits, and opportunities will be gradually linked to it.
Usual opening hours also without Poldi Card: Tue-Thu 7:00 AM-12:00 PM and 1:00 PM-3:30 PM, Fri 7:00 AM-12:00 PM, Sat 7:00 AM-2:00 PM
IMPORTANT: All previous citizen services and services of the recycling center during the previous opening hours will remain in place without restrictions!
The Poldi Card can be obtained online via the website www.poldicard-klbg.at will be applied. For the year 2022, the use of the Poldi Card is free! The first billing will take place in 2023. The annual fee is €25 per card. More information also at: www.klosterneuburg.at/poldicard
