As every year, right on time for Leopoldi, the Buschenschank calendar for the coming year has been released. Organized and researched by the Klosterneuburg District Winegrowers' Association with support from Klosterneuburg City Marketing, it was printed in an edition of 25,000 copies. This popular brochure includes not only all the opening dates of the Heurigen establishments, but also information about gastronomic and accommodation businesses, as well as a comprehensive event calendar.
It will be sent to all Klosterneuburg households with the Official Gazette. Of course, it will also be available for free pickup at our wineries and restaurants, many other businesses in our city, and of course, here at Stadtmarketing.
This year's cover image is by Leopold Strobl, who was born in Mistelbach in 1960, lives and works in Poysdorf and Kritzendorf, and has regularly been in Gugging Atelier is a guest. The artist finds the motifs for his small-format drawings in all kinds of newspapers. He blacks out part of the motif, then colors the sky green, and finally emphasizes the border. He uses colored pencils in black, light green, various shades of yellow, and only very rarely in red.
His works are now internationally renowned and hang in prestigious museums in the USA, Portugal, and France, as well as in the Provincial Collections of Lower Austria. As head of the Gugging Gallery is happy Nina Katschnig about the steadily growing interest in Strobl and especially that his works were represented at the 60th International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia this year.
The current exhibition at Museum Gugging “Fantastic places! Walla / Strobl / Vondal / Fink”runs until March 16, 2025, and features works by four Gugginger artists who focus on familiar and unfamiliar places in their own unique ways, including works by Leopold Strobl.
