Success for the inaugural Advent market in Klosterneuburg's Cardinal Piffl Park

Advent in the Park on the second weekend with Erwin Steinhauer

Over 1,000 visitors came to the new „Advent in the Park“ in the center of Klosterneuburg on the first weekend. The good cause is the focus here: Over €30,000 has been collected for the Lions' fundraising campaign, and the rural youth raised €300 in one day. It continues next weekend, with acting star Erwin Steinhauer serving punch on Saturday.

The first weekend was a complete success with over 1,000 visitors. It continues from Friday to Sunday with mulled wine, arts and crafts, culinary delights, a music program, a special Christmas surprise from the music school, and actor Erwin Steinhauer, who will serve mulled wine for the Lions charity event on December 13th. On December 21st, this task will be taken over by the cabaret artist Werner Brix, who lives in Klosterneuburg.

The Heurigen establishments located at Cardinal-Piffl-Platz offer a supporting program featuring a calendar presentation by cartoonist Itze Grünzweig, Christmas songs by the City Band, and Christmas tree sales.

Opportunity to do good

The Lions Club Klosterneuburg-Babenberg is pleased with the charitable success so far: „Great things have happened with the solidarity campaign, ‘An Entire Klosterneuburg for Felix‘. The fundraising goal of “1 Euro per Klosterneuburg resident' has already been reached for Felix and his family, and now they hope for a Christmas miracle for the family and are continuing to collect." The rural youth managed to raise €300 with their mulled wine stand on December 7th, which will go to the „Ö3 Weihnachtswunder“ campaign, thus contributing to the Licht ins Dunkel emergency fund.
