Ray Brown Suite Concert„

The band, centered around Austro-Iranian double bassist Navid Djawadi, focuses its program on rhythmically sophisticated swing in the style of Ray Brown, Oscar Peterson, and Christian McBride. The arrangements are captivating and highlight not only the improvisational finesse of Urs Hager but also the soloistic expressive capabilities of Navid Djawadi and Bogdan Djurdjevic. In anticipation of the upcoming 100th birthday of jazz bassist Ray Brown in 2026, Just In Time will perform music from his „Ray Brown Suite“—a three-movement work that, while firmly rooted in the jazz idiom, also draws on elements of avant-garde classical music, blues, and ragtime—in addition to their own compositions and arrangements.
