Origin & Goals

Origin

Effective January 1, 2026, Tourismus und Stadtmarketing Klosterneuburg GmbH—a wholly owned subsidiary of the Municipality of Klosterneuburg—took over the association’s day-to-day operations. The company is guided by a nine-member supervisory board consisting of municipal council members and city council members. The organization’s responsibilities remain unchanged, and the new, more transparent structure is intended to ensure long-term success.

Club History

The Klosterneuburg Marketing & Tourism Association has existed since November 2016. The founding of the association was preceded by a four-year development process in collaboration with the municipality, city politicians, local stakeholders, many associations, and citizen participation initiatives. In April 2017, the Klosterneuburg Marketing & Tourism Association took over the operational responsibilities from the former Klosterneuburg Tourism Association. At the beginning of 2018, all city marketing and location management tasks were also transferred from the city administration to the association. With a new structure and a new office, the Klosterneuburg Marketing & Tourism Association took off with full force. The Info Center located in the entrance area of the Happyland Leisure Center is open from March to October, Monday to Friday, and from April to September, it is open seven days a week! At the end of 2025, the association ceased its operational activities, and Tourismus & Stadtmarketing Klosterneuburg GmbH took over the responsibilities.

Goals

The goal is to showcase what Klosterneuburg has to offer and to provide the best possible support to those who want to create offerings that fit the Klosterneuburg brand. Therefore, the shop, also located in the office, offers products from Klosterneuburg businesses and promotes sporting and cultural events and exhibitions.

Our concrete goals are

  • To optimize or expand the city's identity (both externally and internally).
  • To strengthen the parent brand „Klosterneuburg“ and all sub-brands by ensuring a consistent, bundled external presentation.
  • Expanding and developing networks within and outside the city.
  • To be the point of contact for planning and executing events, as well as coordinating activities/events within the city area.
  • Ensuring the ongoing flow of information regarding all essential bodies that carry and influence the Klosterneuburg umbrella brand.
  • Organizational and structural summary and bundling of possible joint and/or cross-cutting activities.
  • To centrally plan and purposefully organize tourism campaigns.
