Abstract.!? Between figuration and abstraction

Special exhibition

For the first time, the exhibition focuses on the abstract aspect of Gugging art. In the case of the five presenting artists, there is a departure from visible and tangible reality based on figurative representations. The real object, often a human figure, recedes into the background, and color as well as line gain significance, leading to pure abstraction. The exhibition explores this interplay between figurative and abstract elements.
