Exhibition „De Sculptura“

Sculptures find their place
The Albertina Klosterneuburg stands 2025 quite under the Motto of Sculpture. The exhibition features sculptures made from a wide variety of materials, all from the ALBERTINA's collection, which showcase the diversity of this art form: Annette Messager's sculptures of breathing—expanding and contracting—organs made of light balloon silk stand in stark contrast to Kennedy Yanko's works made of heavy metal.
Claudia Märzendorfer knits and sews life-size truck parts as soft sculptures, and Iranian artist Soli Kiani makes socio-political statements through her rope sculptures. The collection presentation is complemented by a generous donation from Andreas Slominski, who reflects on social mechanisms with his relief works and famous traps. The award-winning architecture of ALBERTINA KLOSTERNEUBURG seems perfectly suited for the sculptural works.
