EXHIBITION: KLOSTERNEUBURG TOWN HALL SQUARE

„History, Buildings, and Setting“
Rudolf Maier, the creator of the models of St. Martin and the children's ward „Stations“ in the city history exhibition, has dedicated himself to a new project: Klosterneuburg's Rathausplatz (Town Hall Square). The new model, which will also find a permanent place in the permanent exhibition in the long term, is expected to be completed by autumn. On this occasion, the museum is dedicating a special exhibition to this important city center.
In addition to the square's more than 2000-year history, which was researched by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Johannes-Wolfgang Neugebauer among others during excavation work from 1999-2002, the exhibition documents individual house histories; furthermore, economic aspects related to the square, the square's transformation as an important meeting and event place then and now, and much more.
