The exhibition „Cards on the Table!“ follows traveling canons, pilgrims, North Pole explorers, archaeologists, and researchers on their journeys and illuminates the diverse worldviews that can be traced in the monastery's collections.

Shifting Worldviews

Historical sources from the abbey's archive, library, and art collections open up unusual perspectives on the world: maps, scientific works, travel diaries, and accounts of pilgrimages and expeditions show how people within the monastery walls followed events with keen interest and formed their own picture of the world – always in dialogue with cultural and scientific developments.
