Gugging.! Classic & Contemporary UPDATE

The exhibition gugging.! classic & contemporary, which has been running since May 6, 2021, has been updated.

Nina Ansperger, artistic director of the museum, expands on the show of its predecessor Johann Feilacher. A special focus will be placed on the works of Heinrich Reisenbauer, Oswald Tschirtner, and Laila Bachtiar Geben.

Furthermore, the exhibition presents a comprehensive picture of Gugging art from over five decades with works by the Gugging classics August Walla, Johann Hauser, Oswald Tschirtner, Rudolf Horacek, Franz Kernbeis, Fritz Koller, Karoline Rosskopf, Philipp Schöpke, Johann Fischer, and Ernst Herbeck.
In contrast, current positions of Heinrich Reisenbauer, Karl Vondal, Johann Garber, Leonhard Fink, Jürgen Tauscher, Leopold Strobl, Arnold Schmidt, and Laila Bachtiar are increasingly evident.

A publication on the Gugging artists and their art is also expected to be released in April 2024.
