Joesi Prokopetz – „Vienna Waits for You“

Vienna is a myth. Not an overwhelmingly complicated one that is ultimately beyond rational experience, but rather a myth nonetheless. What is considered typically Viennese today is a feeling for life that only sets in at a certain age, at the earliest around 55+. One becomes sullen, grumpy, intolerant, nostalgic – in short, one attains a fundamental disposition that might be too forcefully but comprehensively described as existential disgust, coupled with the sublime feeling of rigorous indifference and refreshing dystopia.

Vienna and its people, in a way, scientifically up-to-date with the latest research. Without clichés, sentimentality, or even consideration. Permeated and illustrated by songs about Vienna and its people, but not by Viennese songs.
