Literary scholar Gisela Steinlechner and literary critic and German studies scholar Uwe Schütte analyze  in conversation with Nina Ansperger, exploring the texts and the influences of the Gugging artists on Gerhard Roth. The poems of Ernst Herbeck, in particular, enthralled the German-speaking author. A long and intense friendship connected the writer with these fascinating personalities. Gerhard Roth created a literary memorial for them not only in his last, posthumously published novel, „Die Imker“ (The Beekeepers) (2022).
