„Museum Gugging: 20 Years of Art“
A look into the past, present, and future
In 2026, Museum Gugging will celebrate its 20th anniversary, and therefore it presents this jubilee exhibition!
The anniversary exhibition focuses on 20 Gugging Artists, whose works offer an insight into the art from Gugging from the late 1960s to the present day. They include well-known names such as Oswald Tschirtner or Heinrich Reisenbauer as well as less known but no less exciting ones like Josef Bachler or Franz Artenjak. Particularly prominent are August Walla and Johann Hauser, two central figures of Gugging art. August Walla would have celebrated his 90th birthday in 2026, and Johann Hauser his 100th birthday. Furthermore, the 40th anniversary of the „House of Artists“ addresses the fact that it is a living and working space for artists since its founding, as well as the 25th Anniversary of Atelier Gugging.
