Pop-up workshop at the skate park

GEH.BEAT Youth Outreach by Pro Juventute initiates a Mobile workshop for bicycles, skateboards, scooters, etc. directly at the Klosterneuburg skate park and BMX track. This will empower young users in particular to maintain, service, and repair their sports and mobility equipment themselves, if necessary with support.

Thanks to funding from the Ministry of Climate Protection, it has been possible to provide special tools and extensive spare parts for roller sports equipment.

The area around the Klosterneuburg skatepark is a popular meeting spot, especially for young people, during the warmer months. The Mobile Youth Work team GEH.BEAT is regularly on-site and in constant contact with the users of the facilities. It has been repeatedly observed that various tools are often needed on an ad hoc basis, for example, to (re)adjust skateboard trucks. Sometimes the street workers were even celebrated as „heroes“ simply because they happened to have a bike pump with them, for instance.

One day after the skate contest „Shuvit-Cup“, for the first time on Sunday, September 8th from 3 PM - 6 PM at the skate park Klosterneuburg, Austria Pop-Up Workshop Free Offer. Under the motto „PIMP MY DECK!“, you can customize, fine-tune, repair, and even give your own design to skateboards, longboards, scooters, bicycles – in short, anything with wheels. Various trucks, wheels, grip tapes, paint pens, and stenciling equipment are available on-site, along with expert professionals from the Klosterneuburg association F.A.R.T. (Association for the Promotion of Antiquated Skateboard Talents).

Costs nothing, except a smile.
No registration needed – just bring your own skateboard, scooter, or bike and join in!
