Shortynale – 18. Festival Edition

For film enthusiasts, filmmakers, and anyone who wants to be one

From August 18-22, 2026 Shorty's invites you again to the Babenbergerhalle and offers its well-known living room atmosphere with lounge sets and free seating.

Shown are around 70 curated international short films as well Contributions to the Lower Austrian Short Film Award.

The Solemn award ceremony takes place on August 22 and forms the highlight of the festival, including a red carpet, jury decisions, and discussions with filmmakers led by Christoph Rainer.
