Reigen – The Merry-Go-Round of Love

Ten erotic scenes humorously depict the „relentless mechanics of seduction,“ longing, disappointment, and the desire for love. In love, truths are revealed that otherwise remain hidden. Each encounter involves a man and a woman from different social classes—only for a few minutes before and after the act of love. The act itself remains invisible, but feelings, power dynamics, and social boundaries are revealed in the conversations. However, not everyone plays by the same rules. Thus, a sharply drawn panorama of society emerges from these fleeting encounters, a panorama that has lost none of its relevance even today.
