Interactive Reading Afternoon for Families

On Saturday, April 26th, the Gugging Museum invites all families to a very special reading and hands-on afternoon!

In a cozy atmosphere, children aged 0-10, accompanied by their guardians, can listen to the wonderful children's book author Julia Saarinen. She will present her enchanting book, „Olaf Hoppel und die Geheimsprache“ (Olaf Hoppel and the Secret Language) – a work that wonderfully integrates the theme of sign language into a captivating story. The story centers on Olaf the rabbit, who is deaf despite his long ears. When he enters a school for hearing children, he initially feels misunderstood and lonely. But then, Olaf sparks his classmates„ interest with his special “secret language." Suddenly, everyone wants to connect with Olaf and becomes enthusiastic about his world. Through this unique language, Olaf forms wonderful friendships and demonstrates the importance of understanding.
