Lecture „Understanding Autism: How We Research the Brain in the Lab“

from the Meet the Scientist Series„ with Emily Haimerl and Sarah Gorkiewicz

ISTA doctoral candidates Emily Haimerl and Sarah Gorkiewicz will offer insights into their research on autism in their presentation. Using mouse models and lab-grown mini-brain models, they investigate how genes influence brain development. The goal is to understand fundamental mechanisms and to enable new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in the long term. This will be followed by a joint tour of the interactive exhibition „Science in the Making.“.
