In 2026, August Walla would have turned 90 years old; this year marks the 25th anniversary of his death. Considered an outsider due to his medical complications during his lifetime, he is today counted among the most important representatives of the art brut movement thanks to his fascinating overall oeuvre.

At the heart of the memorial exhibition is Wallas’s great love for his hometown of Klosterneuburg, which found expression in numerous letters and photographs.
