Memorial Exhibition Dr. Magda Strebl

Since 1999, the promenade between Hölzlgasse and Hofkirchnergasse has been a memorial to Dr. Laurenz Strebl (1892-1993), who took the helm of our city as the first mayor of Klosterneuburg after World War II (1946-1955; formally: District Mayor of the 26th Viennese Municipal District).
Soon there will be another memorial to a member of this distinguished family in Klosterneuburg: Dr. Magda (Maria Magdalena) Strebl (1929-2021). When the „Association of Friends and Patrons of the Klosterneuburg City Museum“ was founded in 1996, it was Dr. Strebl who, as the first president, took the reins for ten years, thereby significantly contributing to the creation of the museum. She then moved to the scientific advisory board. In 2010, she was awarded honorary lifetime membership.
