The Klosterneuburg author Astrid Drapela presents her second book „Once Upon a Time There Was a Chicken“ – A research journey through the eventful history of humans and chickens.

Chickens have accompanied us humans for millennia, and yet very few know when, how, and why the chicken became a domesticated animal in the first place. Biologist and chicken expert Astrid Drapela embarks on an exciting journey of discovery through Europe, researching the eventful cultural history of this special bird.
